Construction Begins on New Parking Garage
The shovels are in the ground!
On Thursday, a groundbreaking ceremony launched construction of the new 1,500-space parking garage that will serve our main campus.
The seven-level, open-deck garage will be located on the former site of NorthCoast Behavioral Health. It will accommodate 900-1,200 employee vehicles and the cars of between 300 and 600 visitors and patients.
The new, green-certified parking garage will be designed to accommodate innovative technology that can direct drivers to open spaces and read employees’ license plates, allowing them to enter the garage without stopping to swipe an ID badge. Once the garage is complete in 2018, the current Southpoint garage will be demolished, allowing for the construction of our new main hospital on the site.
