MetroHealth's Autism Assessment Clinic Awarded $210,000 Grant

Two-year grant funding from The Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Foundation establishes the only Hispanic autism assessment clinic in Ohio

The MetroHealth Autism Assessment Clinic (MAAC) has been awarded a two-year, $210,000 grant from The Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Foundation.

Funding from the Prentiss Foundation will allow MetroHealth to add the positions of bilingual speech/language therapist and bilingual clinic coordinator, establishing the clinic as the only Hispanic autism assessment clinic in Ohio and one of a handful in the country.

MAAC - the only autism assessment clinic on Cleveland’s West Side - evaluates children as young as 24 months. The team meets one-on-one with kids to diagnose behavioral issues, and creates personalized treatment plans that can help children - and families - move forward.
