Donley’s will build new parking garage

Cleveland-based Donley’s Inc. will manage the construction for a new 1,500-car parking garage on MetroHealth’s West 25th Street main campus.

The seven-level, open-deck garage will be designed to take advantage of technology that directs drivers to open spots and reads license plates so employees do not have to slow traffic flow to swipe their badges.

Five companies submitted proposals to become the construction manager. Donley’s was selected, in part, because of its experience building parking decks. The garage, set to open in 2018, will be located on the site of the former NorthCoast Behavioral Hospital.

“Donley’s has the experience and knowledge to undertake this important piece of MetroHealth’s transformation,” said Walter Jones, senior vice president of campus transformation at MetroHealth. “We have a track record of working successfully with each other and are looking forward to this next project.”

Donley’s built MetroHealth’s Brecksville Health & Surgery Center, which opened in 2016, a project that was completed under budget and on time.
