MetroHealth Launches COVID-19 Hotline

The MetroHealth System has launched a hotline to address the community’s questions and concerns about COVID-19, or coronavirus.

If individuals are unsure if they should seek medical attention for COVID-19 symptoms, they should call the hotline at 440-592-6843 (440-59-COVID).

As a reminder, COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. The incubation period is two to 14 days after exposure. The infection can be very mild to full-blown pneumonia, but it appears that 80% of cases are mild.

A provider will ask the individual questions and evaluate the symptoms. The doctor will provide further medical advice and determine the best course of action, whether to receive further testing, come for an in-person visit, or to simply stay at home.
