MetroHealth Retains Search Firm to Help Identify Next President and CEO

The MetroHealth System has retained the executive search firm WittKieffer to help identify the hospital’s next top leader.

MetroHealth President and CEO Akram Boutros, MD, FACHE, previously announced he will retire at the end of the year, after nine years of transformational leadership.

WittKieffer will work with the MetroHealth Board of Trustees to identify and interview potential successors. The Board previously established an advisory panel consisting of MetroHealth employees, supporters, public officials, and members of the community.

The national search will look for candidates both inside and outside the health care system, and the region.

Interested candidates or individuals wishing to nominate a potential candidate should contact Jason Petros at jasonp@wittkieffer.com by May 20, 2022.
