New garage opening is next step in Transformation
Larger spaces for over-sized vehicles and power stations for electric cars are just a few of the amenities offered at MetroHealth's new View Road parking garage.
The garage officially opened on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 a.m.
The new garage will accommodate 1,450 vehicles. It includes spaces for expectant mothers and technology that will guide drivers to open spots.
Those who get to work on bicycles will find secure, covered and lighted bike racks.
The opening of the new garage will allow for the demolition of the old garage on Southpoint Drive, where we'll be building our new hospital.
How long did it take to build this structure? About 31 seconds, if you go by the video above. (Or a little over a year if you are counting in real time.)
