The MetroHealth Good Neighbor Program

The MetroHealth Transformation is about more than building a new hospital on the main campus. The Transformation is also focusing on helping to solve issues and revitalize the Clark-Fulton neighborhood.

Our Good Neighbor Program invests time and resources in efforts that are improving neighborhood issues.

We work to increase access to health and wellness resources, clean up and beautify the neighborhood, provide safe places for families to gather and provide life-saving resources to keep the community well.

Last year, we hosted Unidos por Puerto Rico, a free health fair for hundreds of people from Puerto Rico who relocated to Cleveland because of Hurricane Maria. This Summer, we sponsored the restoration of the W. 25th Street mural and participated in popular community events like La Placita Open Streets and a beautification project called Paint a Better Picture.

On December 1, we’re hosting Celebrate the Season – a free community event featuring a tree lighting, live entertainment, photo opportunities, hot cocoa and much more.

This spring we’re partnering with Turner Construction on their Healthy Homes project and the American Red Cross for their Sound the Alarm campaign.

As a neighborhood anchor institution, we are dedicated to creating partnerships that support all of the good things happening in the area. We are committed to helping improve issues that restrict our neighborhood from being the most thriving community it can be.
