We’re joining the March For Our Lives to support Cleveland’s kids

3-21-2018 March for our lives

This Saturday, communities across the world will come together to support students during the March For Our Lives.

The march, spearheaded by students from Parkland, Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, is a call for safe schools for every student, no matter what. The main march is taking place in Washington, D.C., and Cleveland is hosting one of the more than 800 sister events.

MetroHealth staff will attend the Cleveland march under a banner reading “Keep our kids safe.” As health care providers whose mission is to care for everyone in Cuyahoga County, it’s our duty to keep all kids healthy, and that includes keeping them safe from gun violence.

If you’d like to join us at the march, you can meet us downtown at Cleveland’s Public Square at 10:30 a.m., this Saturday, March 24.
